Rajani is a postdoctoral researcher at the UMass Amherst, using machine learning to make future predictions of aquatic flows. He grew up in India and earned his master’s in Environmental science from the Central University of Rajasthan. He began his research career as a Junior Research Fellow at Banaras Hindu University, focusing on downscaling future projections to analyze extreme events. Subsequently, he pursued his PhD with the Water and Climate group at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, where he evaluated GPM IMERG precipitation datasets across the globe, encompassing both terrestrial and oceanic regions.
